“University of Tel afer Organizes an Intellectual Seminar Titled (Our Conscience Tells Us We Have a Lord)”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Tel afer, Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Ahmed Aziz, the University of Tel afer organized an intellectual seminar titled “Our Conscience Tells Us We Have a Lord” in cooperation with the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Division at the Holy Hussaini Shrine. The event was held at the Martyrs of Tel afer Hall on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in the presence of the University’s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Huda Ismail Khalid Al-Jumaili.

The seminar began with a welcoming speech delivered by the University President, who greeted the attendees and praised the role of the Holy Hussaini Shrine in promoting religious and intellectual awareness within the academic environment. He emphasized that such seminars contribute to instilling ethical values and reinforcing students’ sense of positive belonging, enabling them to address intellectual and cultural challenges responsibly and thoughtfully.

The seminar aimed to highlight the significance of human conscience in strengthening faith in God Almighty, and to support spiritual concepts that help individuals regain psychological and intellectual balance. It also addressed the impact of faith on developing a conscious personality and building a cohesive society based on high religious and human values.

During the seminar, Sheikh Jaafar Al-Murouj, representing the Holy Hussaini Shrine, presented a series of intellectual discussions and guidance. He focused on the emotional dimension of faith and emphasized the importance of self-discipline and connecting the intellect with spiritual values to confront intellectual deviations.

The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion with the attendees, enriched by thoughtful questions and contributions, which helped deepen the students’ understanding.

This seminar was organized as part of the ongoing series of intellectual and cultural activities supervised by the University of Tal Afar, aiming to elevate students’ religious and intellectual awareness, and to strengthen human values grounded in fundamental principles. Through this event, the university seeks to contribute to the development of a knowledgeable and conscious generation capable of serving society and the nation with competence and responsibility.
