“The Department of Student Activities Holds an Expanded Meeting to Enhance Performance and Organize University Events”
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Telafer, Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Ahmed Aziz, the Department of Student Activities held an expanded meeting with the heads of student activities units from the university’s colleges at the University Presidency on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
During the meeting, participants discussed mechanisms for improving administrative and coordination performance among the units, as well as strategies to strengthen participation in the central graduation ceremony, which is scheduled to be held at the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine in December. The meeting also included a review of the plan for implementing the ministerial program of internal and external student activities for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The discussions further emphasized the importance of activating cultural, artistic, athletic, scouting, and volunteer activities as essential pillars for developing students’ skills, refining their personalities, and fostering a spirit of belonging, initiative, and community engagement within and beyond the university.
For his part, the Director of the Department of Student Activities, Mr. Thanoon Younis Hassan, affirmed that the department aspires to make this year’s activities more comprehensive and innovative, in line with students’ ambitions and in a manner that reflects the vibrant and progressive image of the University of Telafer and its academic and social standing.
