“Continuing Education Center at University of Telafer Conducts Specialized Course in CV Preparation for College of Agriculture Students”
With the aim of enhancing the skills of College of Agriculture graduates and preparing them for the labor market, the Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the University of Telafer, organized a specialized training course titled “CV for Agricultural Jobs for Successful Application,” targeting fourth-year students in the College of Agriculture.
The course continued for four consecutive days during the period from March 23 to 26, 2025, with lectures presented by Dr. Abdul Aziz Alwan Mustafa, Dean of the College, Dr. Sinan Essam Al-Din, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ashraf Raad Salem, Head of the Chemical Safety and Security Division, and Dr. Mohammed Mowaffaq Sahri, Head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division.
The training program included multiple axes covering the foundations of preparing a professional CV, methods of presenting skills and experiences in an attractive manner to employers in the agricultural sector, with a focus on avoiding common mistakes that might reduce acceptance opportunities. The course also addressed specialized employment requirements in both public and private sectors, electronic submission techniques, and skills for drafting persuasive cover letters.
The importance of this course is highlighted in its representation as an important bridge for transitioning from academic life to professional life, providing graduates with practical skills enabling them to market themselves effectively, pass job interviews with confidence, and build a professional reputation that helps them achieve a successful start in their career paths.
This qualitative initiative reflects the University of Telafer’s approach in adopting the concept of education linked to the labor market, and its keenness to bridge the gap between educational outputs and development requirements, contributing to the preparation of qualified agricultural cadres capable of effective contribution to developing the agricultural sector and achieving food security.
