Within the framework of its continuous endeavors to apply comprehensive quality standards and improve institutional performance indicators, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the University of Telafer, in coordination with the Continuing Education Center, organized a specialized workshop on “Annual Performance Evaluation Mechanism for Teachers and Employees According to Updated Evaluation Forms,” extending for two consecutive days, held at the College of Nursing on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, and at the College of Basic Education on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
The workshop was managed by Assistant Lecturer Ibrahim Bahjat Ibrahim, Director of the Quality Assurance Department, who provided a detailed explanation of the substantial updates to the annual performance evaluation system, reviewing the new structure of forms and relative weights of various criteria, in accordance with the directives approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The workshop analytically addressed the main axes of evaluation and their sub-indicators, highlighting the mechanisms of quantitative and qualitative measurement of performance, and the executive procedures for the evaluation process, emphasizing the necessity for specialized committees to adhere to standards of neutrality, transparency, and objectivity, and the importance of adhering to specified timelines for completing this vital process.
The lecturer reviewed a set of case studies and practical examples for dealing with different situations that may arise during the evaluation process, presenting practical solutions to potential problems, and a clear methodology for documenting performance and achievements during the academic year.
