Within the framework of continuous efforts to combat the drug epidemic and enhance university youth awareness of its dangers, the University of Telafer, in collaboration with the West Nineveh Security Directorate, organized an awareness symposium titled “Drug Concealment Methods” on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Hall 1 at the university campus.
During the symposium, the University President, Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz Ahmed Aziz, presented a comprehensive lecture revealing the emerging techniques and tricks used by drug dealers and promoters to conceal their poisons and pass them through various channels, while explaining warning signs that assist in early detection of these attempts and reporting mechanisms.
His Excellency also emphasized the pivotal role of university youth in forming the first line of defense against the infiltration of this epidemic into the social fabric, through arming themselves with knowledge and awareness, and adopting a culture of absolute rejection of all forms of drug use and promotion.
This event falls within the strategic program adopted by the University of Telafer for raising awareness about drug dangers, which depends on the integration of roles between academic and security institutions within the framework of a comprehensive national vision to fortify youth and build a conscious society that enjoys intellectual and behavioral immunity against this dangerous epidemic.
