Fruitful Community Cooperation: Telafer Municipality Launches a Campaign to” Rehabilitate the Gardens of the University of Telafer”

On Sunday, July 12, 2026, the Telafer Municipality Directorate launched a voluntary campaign, with the participation of a number of its staff members, to clean, weed, and maintain the gardens and green spaces across the University of Telafer campus.

The campaign included the removal of weeds, cleaning of gardens and walkways, and maintenance of green areas as part of ongoing efforts to preserve the aesthetic appearance of the university campus and provide a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment for students, faculty, and staff.

The President of the University of Telafer, Professor Aqeel Al-Aaraji, expressed his appreciation for the remarkable efforts made by the Telafer Municipality Directorate and its personnel. He praised their spirit of cooperation and volunteerism, which reflects the strong partnership between public institutions in serving the community and enhancing public facilities. He also emphasized that such initiatives embody a shared sense of responsibility and a genuine commitment to preserving the university environment.

This campaign comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the University of Telafer and the Telafer Municipality Directorate, promoting a culture of volunteerism and community service, and supporting the University’s efforts to provide a sustainable educational environment. It also contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 15: Life on Land, through the preservation of green spaces and the enhancement of the university’s environmental sustainability.
