In a step that reflects the ambitious vision of the University of Telafer toward academic openness and building effective partnerships with well-established scientific institutions, the President of the University of Telafer, Professor Dr. Aqeel Al-Araji, signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Mosul on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in the presence of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi.

This agreement stems from a shared belief in the importance of scientific and intellectual integration among Iraqi universities and in strengthening avenues of cooperation that contribute to advancing the academic and research landscape, in line with the aspirations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to build distinguished and well-established academic institutions.

The memorandum includes multiple areas of cooperation, such as the exchange of academic and scientific expertise, the promotion of joint scientific research, the organization of academic activities, conferences, and workshops, as well as the development of administrative and institutional performance in a manner that serves the educational mission of both universities.

The President of the University of Telafer emphasized that this step represents an important milestone in the university’s journey toward excellence and openness to prestigious academic institutions, noting that the university is moving forward in establishing strategic partnerships that contribute to developing the capabilities of students and faculty members while strengthening the scientific and research environment.
