“Faculty Member from University of Telafer Participates in Dialogue Session on World Day Against Drug Abuse”

Within the framework of the University of Telafer’s commitment to its community role and responsibilities in raising awareness and addressing negative phenomena, Assistant Lecturer Barzan Faisal Ibrahim, a faculty member at the university, participated in a dialogue session organized by the High Commission for Human Rights Office in Nineveh on the occasion of the World Day Against Drug Abuse, which addressed the impact of this dangerous phenomenon on human rights and the role of relevant authorities in combating it and limiting its spread.

The dialogue session addressed the devastating effects of drugs on individuals and communities, and how they affect fundamental human rights, including the right to health, dignified life, and social security, with emphasis on the necessity of combining efforts of all governmental and community institutions to face this challenge and develop effective strategies to combat it.

The University of Telafer’s participation in this important session affirms its community role in addressing negative phenomena and spreading awareness, and its commitment to contributing to national efforts to protect society from dangers that threaten its security and stability, reflecting the university’s commitment to its social responsibilities toward serving the community and protecting human rights.
