“Head of Field Crops Department at College of Agriculture, University of Telafer Participates in International Conference on Organic Agriculture”

Within the framework of enhancing scientific communication with global academic institutions, Dr. Mohammed Hassan Salman, Head of the Field Crops Department at the College of Agriculture, University of Telafer, participated in the international conference “Challenges and Strategies for the Future of Organic Agriculture in Developing Countries,” organized by Tekirdağ University in Turkey via electronic platforms.

During the conference, Dr. Mohammed presented a specialized scientific lecture titled “Breeding Organic Tomatoes Resistant to Arthropods (Herbivores),” in which he reviewed advanced methodologies in developing organic tomato strains with natural resistance to insect pests, highlighting the importance of these techniques in enhancing sustainable agricultural production and reducing dependence on chemical pesticides in developing countries.

In appreciation of his distinguished scientific contribution to enriching the dialogue on sustainable agriculture strategies, the conference committee awarded Dr. Mohammed a special certificate of appreciation, praising his role in presenting innovative scientific visions that contribute to developing the organic agriculture system.
