“University of Telafer Participates in National Council Training Workshop for Accreditation of Educational Group College Programs”

Within the framework of its commitment to developing academic quality standards and keeping pace with best practices in educational accreditation, the University of Telafer participated in the training workshop organized by the Accreditation Department / Accreditation Councils Division for Scientific and Humanities Specializations in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the University of Mosul under the title “Common Errors in Writing Self-Assessment and Compliance Reports,” which was held at the University of Mosul on Sunday and Monday, August 3-4, 2025, within the framework of the university’s continuous efforts to develop its academic programs and ensure education quality.

The university was represented in this training workshop by Engineer Ayden Mohammed Saeed Khidr, Assistant Dean of the College of Basic Education for Administrative Affairs, and Mr. Bahjat Abdul Ghani Abdullah Baker, Head of the Quality Assurance Division at the College of Basic Education, where they learned about the latest standards and practices in the field of self-assessment and academic accreditation.

The training workshop addressed common errors that universities face when preparing self-assessment reports, and how to avoid these errors to ensure academic programs comply with required standards, in addition to reviewing best practices in report writing and documenting evidence and proofs required for the academic accreditation process.

The University of Telafer’s participation in this workshop comes within its strategy aimed at developing quality assurance systems in its colleges and scientific departments, and obtaining academic accreditation for its educational programs according to national and international standards, contributing to enhancing the university’s academic status and ensuring the quality of its educational outcomes to serve society and the labor market.
