“University of Telafer Hosts Ministerial Delegation to Evaluate Civil Defense and Occupational Safety System”

In its ongoing commitment to embedding safety and security foundations within the academic environment, the University of Telafer welcomed a ministerial delegation specialized in evaluating and overseeing the procedures and methodologies applied to civil defense operations at the university. The visit took place on Monday, May 26, 2025, under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdulaziz Ahmed Aziz, President of the University.

The President greeted the delegation members, emphasizing the strategic value of this evaluative review in refining and enhancing the university’s protection and prevention system. He reaffirmed the steadfast commitment of the university leadership to providing a secure learning environment for all members of the university community—students, faculty, and administrative staff.

During a field tour of the university’s various facilities, accompanied by Mr. Naseh Hikmat Ali Khan, Director of the Office of the Presidency, the visiting delegation reviewed the civil defense measures in place. These included evacuation plans, early warning systems, and firefighting equipment available across campus, to assess practical implementation and verify readiness levels. They also examined the ongoing training programs for university personnel in crisis management and rapid emergency response.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation members commended the distinguished efforts of the university leadership in this vital domain, underscoring the importance of continuous development and updates to ensure alignment with the latest global standards and best practices in institutional safety and security.
