*”Dean of the College of Agriculture at University of Telafer Represents the University at the Fifth International Agricultural Conference for Food Security Sustainability”*
Within the framework of enhancing the academic presence of the University of Telafer in scientific forums, Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz Alwan Mustafa, Dean of the College of Agriculture, participated in the Fifth International Agricultural Conference organized by the College of Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Mosul in cooperation with the Colleges of Agricultural Engineering at the University of Baghdad and Agriculture at the University of Basra, under the slogan “Sustainability of Food and Water Security in Iraq.. Challenges and Opportunities” from April 16 to 17, 2025.
The conference, which was held in a hybrid format combining physical attendance and electronic participation, witnessed the presentation of 95 specialized scientific papers by researchers from various Iraqi universities and 12 Arab and foreign countries, enriching discussions and enhancing the exchange of expertise and knowledge in the field of food and water security.
The conference aimed to develop mechanisms for scientific cooperation between agricultural academic institutions in Iraq and promote the adoption of innovative technologies in the agricultural sector, focusing on concepts of food security sustainability and smart agriculture as fundamental pillars for facing future challenges.
The University of Telafer’s participation in this scientific forum reflects its strategic vision in openness to peer academic institutions and benefiting from successful experiences in the field of agricultural education, contributing to the development of academic and research programs at the College of Agriculture and enhancing its role in achieving sustainable food security.
