“University of Telafer Participates in Expanded Meeting to Discuss Launching Projects of Newly Established Universities and Addressing Implementation Challenges”

Within the framework of continuous coordination between newly established universities in Nineveh Governorate and enhancing cooperation with local authorities to develop the educational sector, the University of Telafer participated in an expanded meeting held at the Northern Technical University on Monday, August 11, 2025, with the participation of Nineveh Governor Lawyer Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil and the President of the Northern Technical University, alongside representatives of several newly established universities in the governorate, to discuss mechanisms for launching development projects in these universities and addressing challenges facing their implementation.

The University of Telafer was represented in this meeting by Engineer Ahmed Abdul Ghafour Mohammed Ali, Director of the Construction and Projects Department, Assistant Lecturer Falah Hassan Mohammed, Head of Project Implementation Division, and Assistant Lecturer Hussein Shait Ahmed, Director of Internal Departments Affairs Department, who contributed to discussions and dialogues addressing the reality of existing and planned projects in newly established universities, and the technical, financial, and legal difficulties hindering their progress.

The Governor of Nineveh affirmed during the meeting the importance of newly established universities as vital educational institutions that receive great attention from the governorate, indicating the adoption of necessary procedures to communicate with relevant authorities in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Ministries of Planning, Education, and Finance, to ensure the required allocations and funding for the continuation of these strategic projects.

The University of Telafer’s participation in this meeting reflects its commitment to coordination and cooperation with other universities in the governorate, and contributing to finding appropriate solutions to shared challenges, contributing to developing the educational sector in Nineveh and improving services provided to students and the academic community in the region.
