“University of Telafer Signs Strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Iranian University of Tabriz”

Within its strategic vision for openness to global academic institutions, and with direct guidance from the President of the University of Telafer, Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz Ahmed Aziz, University of Telafer has signed a comprehensive scientific memorandum of understanding with the University of Tabriz in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The University of Telafer was represented by a delegation headed by Assistant Lecturer Qaydar Mohammed Salih, Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, while the Iranian side was represented by Dr. Saeed Shojaei, Director of the Central Office for International and Academic Cooperation at the University of Tabriz.

The memorandum of understanding represents an integrated framework for building a sustainable academic partnership between the two institutions, encompassing all areas of scientific, research, and technical cooperation, and establishing solid foundations for faculty and student exchange, holding joint scientific conferences and seminars, in addition to implementing research and scientific projects of mutual interest.

This agreement is an extension of the strategic vision adopted by the University of Telafer in internationalizing higher education and opening up to prestigious global academic institutions, enhancing the quality of the University’s academic and research programs, opening new horizons for its students and professors, and enhancing its presence in international forums.

This initiative confirms the depth of cultural and scientific relations linking Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and embodies the two institutions’ belief in the importance of scientific cooperation in facing common challenges and serving sustainable development issues in the region
